OUR MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Montmorency County Economic Development Corporation is to create an environment that facilitates the expansion of existing companies, attracts and retains quality jobs, solicits new businesses compatible with the assets and values of the County, promote its business image and enhance the counties overal quality of life.
OUR PURPOSE
The Montmorency County EDC provides economic development services to the businesses and communties, and provides linkages to other federal, state and regional agenicies that offer related services.
Montmorency County is located in the northeast portion of Michigan's Lower Penisula. It has an abundance of natural resources including 248 lakes and reservoirs, 86% of the land has forest cover and its economy is predomiately supported by forestry, agriculture, tourism and serveral manufacturing plants. Its population is estimated to be just under 10,000.
